Gaming Influence: Thoughts - Indie World Showcase 3.3.2026
Hello everyone,
For this edition of Gaming Influence, I'll share my thoughts on the Indie World Showcase on March 3, 2026.
Before I begin, please note that not every game shown in this presentation will be discussed, as I will primarily focus on games that I am particularly interested in and care about. If the games you care about and are interested in don't show up here, don't take it personally. I have nothing against the games, but they're just not for me, or I don't have much to say about them except that they're cool. However, if you're happy with the games that you care about and are interested in, I have nothing to say about it; good for you, and I'm so glad for you.
Anyway, let's get started!
Denshattack! is an action-adventure game developed by Undercoders and published by Fireshine Games. The game is set to be released on Switch 2 on June 17, 2026.
The last time we saw anything from this game was back at the Game Awards last year, so nice to see it here as it's coming out a lot sooner than expected. I like how the Switch 2 version of the game will have an in-game skin, which is cool, and the fact that they're making a demo available now for players to try out the game is awesome. The game looks like a lot of fun, and its art style looks awesome, as I can't wait to see how the final game will turn out once it's released in three months.
My Little Puppy is an action-adventure game developed by Dreamotion Inc. and published by KRAFTON. The game is set to be released on Switch on May 29, 2026.
I've heard really good things about this game, as it's already on Steam, where it has a really heartfelt story with fun gameplay as well. Very great to see that this game is coming to other consoles, especially on Switch. Looking forward to trying this game myself once it comes out in two months.
Heave Ho 2 is a party game developed by Le Cartel Studio and published by Devolver Digital. The game is set to be released on Switch 2 and Switch in Summer 2026.
Wow, didn't expect to see a sequel for this game, but great to see regardless. If you want a fun, chaotic party game to play with friends, then this is the game for you. This game should be a lot of fun, and looking forward to seeing the final product once it's released this summer.
Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault is an action role-playing game developed by Digital Sun and published by 11 Bit Studios. The game is set to be released on Switch 2 in 2026.
This game was already released on other consoles, so great to see it finally coming to Switch 2. If you're into action RPGs with a lot of customization and exploring, this is the game for you. Very curious to see how the Switch 2 version will turn out once it's released this year.
Woodo is a cozy diorama puzzle game developed by Tiny Monks Tales and published by Daedalic Entertainment. The game is set to be released on Switch 2 and Switch in Summer 2026.
This looks to be a fun, cozy game for players to play if they just want to enjoy themselves without worrying too much. There looks to be a lot of puzzles that players can do within this game, which should be quite interesting to see. We'll see how the game turns out overall once it's released this summer.
Minishoot' Adventures is a shooter action game developed by SoulGame Studio and published by IndieArk. The game is available now on Switch 2 and Switch.
This game looks to be a classic shoot 'em up, which is a game genre that isn't as big as it used to be, so nice to see a game like this out there, and it looks great. It has that old school classic shoot 'em up gameplay as well as a very unique art style to the game too. Curious to try out the game myself as it's available now.
The Midnight Walk is an adventure game developed by MoonHood and published by Fast Travel Games. The game is set to be released on Switch 2 on March 26, 2026.
Very nice to see that this game will be coming to Switch 2, as it's a nice adventure game that feels very immersive. It's also that cartoon art style to it as well, which makes you feel like you're a part of that world. Very curious to see how this game will do on Switch 2 once it's released in a few weeks.
Rotwood is a beat 'em up game developed and published by Klei Entertainment, which is now available on Switch 2.
Everything they showed within this game looks pretty good in terms of its art style and gameplay. They really did combine both the fighting game and RPG aspects into the gameplay, which, in a way, is a beat 'em up, as it works extremely well in this case. Looking forward to trying this game myself once it's available now.
Mixtape is a narrative adventure game developed by Beethoven & Dinosaur and published by Annapurna Interactive. The game is set to be released on Switch 2 on May 7, 2026.
We've seen this game numerous times in past video game presentations, but it finally has an official release date, as it's coming a lot sooner than expected. This game definitely has that narrative feeling to it, which isn't a bad thing, so I'm curious to see how this game will turn out overall. We'll see how the game will turn out once it's released in two months.
Blighted is a Metroidvania action role-playing game developed and published by Drinkbox Studios, where the game is set to be released on Switch 2 in Fall 2026.
We've seen this game in past video game presentations, and it continues to look great, with a good window for when it's released. Everything about this game has a lot of potential in terms of story and gameplay, so I'm curious to see how it turns out overall. I guess we'll find out soon enough when the game is released this fall.
Overall, this was a good presentation from Nintendo. As usual, love that Nintendo continues to support indie games of all different genres and different countries, which is awesome to see. Having Blue Prince coming to Switch 2 is a huge deal as it's one of the best indie games of last year, so that's a great get. Very happy that Nintendo continues to do these, and I'm curious to see what other indie games will be coming to Switch and Switch 2 in the future.
