We knew that this game was coming, but great to see Nintendo actually showing footage of the game on Switch 2, and it looks very impressive on the system itself. I enjoyed this game on PS5, but having a Monster Hunter game on the go is awesome. If you don't have this game yet and want to play the game on the go, you would probably get the Switch 2 version. Curious to see how this game will turn out on Switch 2 once it's released in three months.

With the base game coming, it's expected that the DLC expansion is coming, and it's awesome to see that it's happening. I kind of wished we saw what the DLC expansion would look like on Switch 2, but it wasn't meant to be, as they'll probably save that for after the base game is released. Looking forward to seeing more of the DLC expansion once it's released next year.
Final Fantasy VII Revelation is an action role-playing game developed and published by Square Enix, set to release on Switch 2 on April 8, 2027.
Even though we knew this game was coming to Switch 2, seeing Switch 2 footage of it in this presentation is awesome. This is one of my most anticipated games next year, and every time I see it, it looks incredible. I kind of wish we saw more new gameplay from what we've seen here, but I can't complain, as we've been fed much already, and I can't wait to play it once it's released in seven months.
Crisis Core - Final Fantasy VII - Reunion is an action role-playing game developed and published by Square Enix, and it is available now on Switch 2.
This game was already on Switch, so it's awesome that it's now on Switch 2, with better resolution and frame rate. If you haven't gotten this game yet, you should, as it's a great game that helps tie everything in the Final Fantasy VII series. Curious to see how this version turns out, as it's available now for players to play.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity - Definitive Edition is the complete edition of the hack-and-slash game developed by Omega Force and published by Nintendo, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. The game is set for release on Switch 2 on February 25, 2027.
Man, it's been a long time coming for this, as this game definitely needs a Switch 2 Edition, but it's finally coming, and it looks so much better than before, especially the frame rate. Glad to see that they also brought in the DLC for this game, along with cross-progression and a discount if you have the Switch version of the game. Plus, the fact that it has a new mode in Calamity mode is awesome. For those who haven't played the game yet, this would be your chance to do so. Looking forward to seeing how this version turns out once it's released in five months.
MECCHA CHAMELEON is a viral multiplayer hide-and-seek party game developed and published by lemorion_1224; the game is available now on Switch 2.
Oh wow, didn't expect this game to come to Switch 2, but a welcome surprise regardless. This is a fun party game that you can play with family or friends, so if you haven't already played it, you should check it out for sure. Either way, glad to see it on Switch 2 and curious to see how it does, as it's available now on the system.
Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass is DLC for the cozy-life simulation and sandbox adventure game developed by Omega Force and published by Nintendo. The second part of the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass will be released on Switch 2 in late 2026.
Nice to see that we got to see what the second part of the Expansion Pass will be like, as we got new accessories, and they are adorable and cool. Not only that, but we're also getting new Pokémon in this second part as well, which is also welcome. Looking forward to seeing how the final part of the Expansion Pass will turn out, but until then, we got the second part, which will be released later this year.
Star Fox is a pioneering 3D rail shooter developed by Velan Studios and published by Nintendo. The free update will be released on Switch 2 on September 29, 2026.
Nice to see that this game is getting more content, and it looks like they're focusing on the multiplayer aspect of the game, which is great to see. Love that up to four players can play locally and online, as well as seeing the new battle modes for the game as well. Looking forward to the update, as it's free as well once it's released in a few weeks.
Star Fox Adventures is an action-adventure game developed by Rare and published by Nintendo. The game is available now on Switch 2 via Nintendo Switch Online on the Nintendo GameCube - Nintendo Classics.
Holy crap! We're actually getting Star Fox Adventures on NSO?! Heck yeah! Granted, sure, it may not be the best game ever, but it's a fun and unique one for the Star Fox franchise, and glad to see that more people will be able to play it. Looking forward to playing this game again in the future, as it's available now on Switch 2.
Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is a tactical role-playing game developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo. The game is set to be released on Switch 2 on September 17, 2026.
Every time we see this game, I continue to be impressed by it, and it's finally coming out. Everything we've seen so far is hitting, and now, we just need to play the full game to really see if it's worth the hype. Looking forward to playing this in a few weeks, or it'll be out now by the time you read this.
Professor Layton and the New World of Steam is a puzzle adventure game developed and published by Level-5, which the game is set to be released on Switch 2 on December 10, 2026.
It's great to see more of this game after so long and with gameplay too, which is much appreciated. Loving that they're having a lot of puzzles in this game, as it looks to be the biggest yet in the series. Everything is looking good with the game so far, and I hope the game delivers once it's released in three months.
YO-KAI WATCH 2: Haunted Domain is a remake of the open-world role-playing game developed and published by Level-5 that was released on the 3DS in 2014, YO-KAI WATCH 2. The game is currently in development on Switch 2.
Holy crap! We're actually getting a remake of YO-KAI WATCH 2! That's awesome. However, I wasn't really a fan of the trailer where it looks like they were using AI, which kind of rubs me the wrong way. Hopefully, the AI won't be there in the final product, but definitely a bit disappointed with it being there in the trailer. Despite that, it's great to see that the series is making a comeback, and I really hope this remake turns out well, as I hope to see more of it in the future.
Pikmin 4 - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy is an enhanced edition of the real-time strategy and puzzle game developed and published by Nintendo, Pikmin 4. The game is set to be released on Switch 2 on November 12, 2026.
Nice to see that this game will have a Nintendo Switch 2 edition, and they're adding new content to the game too, which is nice to see. The Dandori Academy mode looks to expand the Dandori Battle from Pikmin 4 with new ways to strategize and so forth, which should be a lot of fun. The fact that this game also has input audio is awesome to see, which makes good use of the Nintendo Switch 2 hardware. Looking forward to trying out the Dandori Academy mode for this game once it's released in two months.
Oynx: The Dark Grip is a 2.5D horror and dark adventure game developed and published by Bloober Team, which the game is set to be released on Switch 2 in 2027.
Oh wow, didn't expect another Bloober Team game, and the fact that this game is exclusive to Switch 2 is awesome. The game definitely has unique gameplay, especially when it comes to handheld mode, where you get to see a different point of view, which is quite fascinating. I'm very curious to see how this game will turn out overall and hope to see more of it once it's released next year.

Oh wow, we got some very interesting new updates for this edition of Xenoblade Chronicles 3, and it looks to be a lot of fun. The Heroes' Vault mode looks to be a roguelike mode, which should make replayability a lot more interesting. Not only that, we finally got a look at the new hero, and it looks to be Mythra's daughter with the name Shimmer?! What?! Didn't see that coming, but I'm here for it, as she looks to be a fun Hero to have. Looking forward to experiencing this edition of the game once it's released in three months.

Man, we haven't seen this game in a while, but great to see it again, as it has made a lot of progress since we last saw it, and it's looking great. Very nice to see Ghost Town Games doing something different rather than just doing Overcooked, so this should be quite interesting. Hope the game turns out well and hope to see more of it once it's released next year.

This was a nice surprise here, as I didn't expect a game like this, but it's definitely welcome for sure. I really love the art style of this game as it looks rather unique, and the gameplay looks to be a lot of fun too. I definitely have an eye on this game and hope to see more of it once it's released next year.

Holy crap, so the rumors were true! My goodness. We're actually getting a new 2D Metroid game, and it looks incredible. This game looks to take place after Metroid Dread, and Samus looks awesome here with her new abilities by absorbing enemies into herself, which is sick. Not only that, they're kind of going out with this game with the Samus and Chozo Statue amiibo releasing on the same day as the game, as well as a special edition containing a steelbook, game, and Samus (Metroid Suit) amiibo. Pure awesomeness here, and I can't wait to see more once it's released in four months.
Mario Kart World is an open-world kart racing game developed and published by Nintendo. A free update for the game is now available on Switch 2.
Oh wow, this isn't your ordinary update for Mario Kart World, as it's kind of huge in a way, which is great to see. Having the players race on classic courses in Vs. Race, including Choco Mountain, Vanilla Lake, and Ghost Valley as examples are awesome. Not only that, there'll be two new Knockout Tours with Propeller and Trunip Rally as well. Nice update here, but still surprised there's no DLC for this game. Who knows, maybe it'll happen soon, but looking forward to this update as it's available now for players to play.
Mega Man: Dual Override is an action-platformer developed and published by Capcom, set to release on Switch 2 and Switch in Spring 2027.
Every time we see new footage of this game, I get even more hyped, since it's been so long since we got a new original Mega Man game, and it still looks amazing. Awesome to see that Proto Man is playable, as his combat style looks like a lot of fun. I also like that there's customization with the chips too, for skills and abilities that Mega Man and Proto Man can use in combat. Not only that, we're getting new amiibo for Mega Man and Proto Man for this game, which is insane, and I love it. I'm liking everything I've seen with this game so far and hope to see more once it's released next spring.

Oh wow, Marvelous is developing a JRPG? Very nice. Everything we've seen from the trailer for this game looks pretty good in terms of graphics, gameplay, story, and music. This game definitely has a lot of potential to be something, but I hope to see more of it down the line, as I definitely have my eye on this game as it'll be released in six months.

Very awesome to see that this game is coming to Switch 2, as it's one of the more fun modern fighting games out there. Not only that, but they also showcased the new DLC characters that are going to be in Season 3, including Mikey and Draken from Tokyo Revengers, which is freaking cool. Very curious to see how this game will run on Switch 2, and for those who haven't gotten the game yet and are into fighting games, you should definitely buy it, as you can get it digitally on Switch 2 next month, or physically in four months.
Metal Slug Ultimate Collection is a 10-game anniversary compilation developed by M2 and published by SNK that will contain the following games: Metal Slug, Metal Slug 2, Metal Slug X, Metal Slug 3, Metal Slug 4, Metal Slug 5, Metal Slug Advance, Metal Slug 6, Metal Slug 7, and a rare location test version of the original Metal Slug. This compilation will be released on Switch 2 and Switch in 2027.
Holy moly, we're getting a collection of all of the classic Metal Slug games! Heck yeah! Nice to see SNK having all of the classic Metal Slug games in one collection on modern platforms, so players can experience these fun run-and-gun games. Looking forward to its release and replaying these games once again when it's released next year.

There were rumors that this game existed, and it looks like it does, as I'm happy to see it here, as it looks great. The remake for Romancing SaGa 2 was great, so if it's anything like that remake, we're in for a treat here, as they updated the graphics, have voice acting in cutscenes, and have an orchestrated soundtrack, which is icing on the cake. Looking forward to replaying this game in a new light once it's released in five months.

This is one of the early roguelike games back in the SNES days, so this is a great way for modern players to play this game and see what these roguelike games were like back then. I had a feeling that this game was coming to Switch 2, but what I didn't expect is that the game is not coming to Switch 2 a year after its launch on other consoles, but three months after its launch on other consoles, which surprised me a lot. Regardless, it's still not day-to-day with the release date of the other consoles, but at least they're improving, which is a great thing. Curious to see how this game will run on Switch 2 once it's released in eight months.

Very nice to see that Sega/Atlus decided to have Persona 6 on Switch 2. Though, I kind of wished that they showed gameplay of the game, but I guess that'll be saved for later once Persona 4 Revival gets released. In addition, they didn't mention that the game will launch on Switch 2 either, so Nintendo fans might get the game later compared to other consoles. However, we have to wait and see on that, but hope to see more of this game down the line.
Kirby and the World Beyond is a 3D sandbox and exploration-focused action-platformer developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo. The game is set to be released on Switch 2 in Spring 2027.
Oh wow, we're getting a new 3D Kirby platformer, and it looks amazing! I was a huge fan of Kirby and the Forgotten Land, and this game looks to expand it even further with the worlds that Kirby can explore and the abilities that Kirby can use. This new world that Kirby is exploring in this game looks to be bigger than Kirby and the Forgotten Land, which got me super excited. If it's anything like Kirby and the Forgotten Land, but more, we're in for a treat. Looking forward to seeing more of the game once it's released next spring.
Overall, this was a great presentation from Nintendo. Even though a lot of the major Nintendo IPs are not here, I like how they're giving other Nintendo IPs a chance to shine, as well as getting third-party and indie games love as well. I also love that they added more info on the amiibo for Kirby Air Riders with Sword Kirby & Dragoon and Noir Dedede & Hydra, as they look awesome. Nintendo got themselves a huge lineup throughout the rest of the year and heading into next year, and I'm curious to see what else Nintendo has in store heading into next year.
