Gaming Influence: Thoughts - PlayStation State of Play | February 12, 2026
Hello everyone,
Welcome to Gaming Influence, a reboot of the same name I created in WrestleCorp. However, I will not only be giving my thoughts on certain video games and video game series but also on video game movies, video game anime, video game digital presentations, etc.For this edition of Gaming Influence, I'll share my thoughts on the PlayStation State of Play on February 12, 2026.
Before I start, not every game shown in this presentation will be discussed, as I will mainly talk about games that I care about and are interested in. If the games you care about and are interested in don't show up here, don't take it personally, have nothing against the games, but they're just not for me, or it's just that I don't have much to say about them except cool. However, if you're happy with the games that you care about and are interested in, I have nothing to say about it; good for you, and I'm happy for you.
Anyway, let's get started!
Kena: Scars of Kosmora is an action-adventure game developed and published by Ember Lab, which is set to be released on PS5 and PC in 2026.
Okay, this was a nice surprise as I didn't expect a sequel to Kena: Bridge of Spirits, but here we are, and it looks fantastic. The graphics continue to look amazing, the story looks interesting, and the gameplay looks like a lot of fun. If it's anything like the first game, but more expanded, I'm here for it. Hope to see more of this game in the future once it's released later this year.
Ghost of Yōtei Legends is DLC for the action-adventure game developed by Sucker Punch Productions and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, Ghost of Yōtei. The DLC will be released on PS5 on March 10, 2026.
We knew that this DLC was coming for Ghost of Yōtei, but to finally see it in action is awesome to see. The fact that this is an online co-op multiplayer mode where players can go up against the Yōtei Six by choosing four different classes is awesome. Not only that, but it's also free DLC, as well which is also great. Very curious to see how this DLC will turn out once it's released next month.
4:LOOP is a rogue-like co-op shooter developed by Bad Robot Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The game will be released on PS5 and PC in the future.
We've seen this game back at the Game Awards last year, so nice to see more of this game here, as it looks to be one of the more interesting co-op shooters with its rogue-like gameplay, which would make things more interesting. The amount of customization of this game is quite good, and the fact that the developers are looking for feedback to make this game the best it can be is also something great to see. Very curious to see how this game will turn out and hope to see more of it soon, as this game has potential.
PRAGMATA is an action-adventure game developed and published by Capcom, which is set to be released on PS5 on April 24, 2026.
Wasn't surprised that we saw this game in this presentation, as the game is coming out pretty soon, and it continues to look incredible. Everything about it, in terms of its graphics, gameplay, story, and music, really makes this game quite special and great in my opinion. Plus, if you want to give the game a try yourself, a demo is available now on PS5, so if you have any interest in this game, I would recommend checking it out, and I can't wait to play it in two months.
Resident Evil Requiem is a survival horror game developed and published by Capcom, which will be released on PS5 on February 27, 2026.
This is another game that I wasn't surprised that we would see in this presentation, as the game is coming out in a few weeks, and it continues to look incredible. We did actually see some new gameplay in this trailer, as well as the return of the Police Station in Resident Evil 2, which is awesome to see. Looking forward to playing this game as it comes out in a few weeks.
Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered is a remaster of the action-adventure game developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Eidos Interactive that was released on PS2, Xbox, and PC in 2003, Legacy of Kain: Defiance. The game will be released on PS5 and PS4 on March 3, 2026.
We haven't seen anything about this game since last year, so great to see another update about it as it's coming a lot sooner than expected. Love the QoL improvements that they added to this remaster, as long as the extra bonuses for the digital deluxe edition include additional costumes and a game that was never released, which is awesome. We'll see how this remaster will turn out once it's released next month.
Brigandine Abyss is a tactical role-playing game developed by Adglobe and published by NIS America Inc. The game is set to be released on PS5 in 2026.
Oh wow, didn't expect another Brigandine game, but this was a nice surprise, and it's looking great. This looks to be the biggest Brigandine game yet, with the amount of customization as well as stories and paths to take in this game, which isn't a bad thing at all. If you're into strategy games, this is a game to keep an eye on. Hope to see more of this game in the future once it's released later this year.
DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Last Round is a fighting game developed by Team Ninja and published by Koei Tecmo. The game is set to be released on PS5 on June 25, 2026.
Oh my god, DEAD OR ALIVE is alive! Holy crap! Never thought I would see Dead OR ALIVE back after how DEAD OR ALIVE did when it first released. However, glad to see this game getting another chance with updated visuals, bringing all the DLC, and more updates to this game in the future, which is great. The fact that this game will have a free-to-play version too is quite interesting. Really hope this game does well so the series can return again, but looking forward to it once it's released in four months.
A new DEAD OR ALIVE game is developed by Team Ninja and published by Koei Tecmo. The game will be released on PS5 in the future.
Holy crap! DEAD OR ALIVE is back! Man, DEAD OR ALIVE 7, which I assume this game is, looks amazing. Granted, this was only a teaser, but the fact that we're getting a new DEAD OR ALIVE game in the future is awesome. Everything about this game is looking awesome, and I hope to see more of it in the future.
Overall, this was an excellent presentation from PlayStation. The moment that PlayStation announced that this presentation would be an hour long, I knew something big would happen here, and we got that and more. This presentation had a bit of everything from different genres, which is greatly appreciated. Not only that, it had a great mix of first-party, third-party, and indie games here, which is awesome to see. Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is coming to PC, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is coming to PlayStation Plus this month, Tekken Dark Resurrection is coming to PlayStation Classics in March 2026, Time Crisis is coming to PlayStation Classics in May 2026, and Big Walk is coming to PlayStation Plus this year are great announcements. However, to me, Konami was the star of the presentation as I didn't expect them to bring in as many games as they did here, and it was awesome. This presentation was E3 worthy in my opinion, and I'm curious to see what else PlayStation has for the rest of the year.
